Brightly white stars of broad-leaved garlic decorate woodlands and give precious gift of natural beauty and health. The Latin name is due to the brown bear's taste for the bulbs and its habit of digging up the ground to get at them. Its strong aroma attracts people too from prehistoric times till nowadays.
